Wireless Internet service is offered to guests with laptop computers. Please note that Tahsis is out of range for cell phone coverage. This can be a good thing. Your cell phone will be out of range about 10 minutes west of Campbell River.
A dedicated telephone is available to guests, local calls are free of charge. Long distance calls must be made with calling card or with operator assistance. Please try to limit the call duration to 15 minutes.
Television and DVD available in the Bermuda Suite and in the upstairs common area.
Cash, travellers’ cheques, and major credit cards are accepted.
Guests have use of the propane barbeque, but must ensure that any food residue is burned off the grill by leaving the flame burning for an additional 5 minutes. No food or garbage can be left outdoors. Please visit www.bearsmart.com/ for additional information.
Policies
A deposit of 50% of the quoted rate on stays of two or more nights, or 100% on one night stays is required within 10 days of booking date.
Deposits may be paid over the phone on a major credit card, or by mailing a personal cheque/money order. The balance due is payable upon arrival.
Check in time is between 3 and 8 p.m. Check in after 8 p.m. is possible for reservations of two or more nights by prior arrangement only. Check out time is 11 a.m. Please call (collect okay) if your arrival time is delayed - it's better to know than to worry.
Well-behaved children over the age of 6 are welcome.
Regrettably, we are unable to accommodate pets. Rosie will be happy to serve as a substitute canine for the duration of your stay.
No smoking is allowed inside the house, ashtrays will be provided for smoking away from the building.
Please advise of any food allergies or restrictions.
If you must cancel your stay, your deposit will be refunded, less a $25 service charge per room, provided that you give more than two weeks notice.
Within two weeks, and up to 48 hours before your arrival date, your deposit will be refunded if the room can be re-rented for the same rate. A $25 service charge per room will apply.
If you cancel within 48 hours of your arrival date, you will lose your deposit and be charged for the entire stay. Early departures are regarded as cancellations.
